WARRIORS: Stars of Destiny

Ivyclan - A Warrior's Life

Special Ranks

Watchers

Watchers have a very self explanatory job, they are the eyes and ears of Ivyclan. They keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and rule the night. They attend patrols but never lead. The key use of a watcher is to complete missions other cats tend to not be capable of, such as taking up the role of messengers, search and rescue, and traveling outside of clan territory to hunt.

Nurturers & Sprouts

Nurturers are cats trained to meet the the emotional needs of their clanmates. They offer therapy, compassion, and guidance to any cats. They are naturally empathetic and just have that honed into helping other cats. Sprouts have a training regimen much closer to a Medicine Cat Apprentice then a warriors, having to be 24 moons old to become a Nurturer. Sprouts have the unique suffix of pod while Nurturers get to have the Sentinel honorific.

Sentinels

Cats that have a disability or have retired from their duties to be able to live their live without the taxing work of their prior ranks. The workload a sentinel has depends on the cat’s own decision, and the medicine cat’s advice. Some cats simply work on modified schedules and continue to hunt, patrol, and even fight alongside warriors, but some cats prefer to relax in the sun. Each is acceptable and approved of. Disabled cats may become a sentinel whenever they see fit, and have their names be earned the same as their peers until they are warrior age and may take on the Sentinel Honorific. No elderly cat is forced to become a sentinel, but the idea is suggested at around 120-140 moons, and strongly advised at 180 moons.
